The Timberwolves snapped a 14-game home losing streak with a 100-95 win over the Philadelphia 76ers Monday night. Minnesota outscored Philly 26-22 in the 4th quarter. Andrew Wiggins led the Wolves with 32 points including 11-12 from the free throw line.
Hall of Famer Rod Carew is hoping to qualify for a heart transplant after a massive heart attack two months ago. The 70-year-old Carew says he was stricken while golfing alone in Corona, California, on Sept. 20.

Rodger's 27-yard touchdown pass to James Jones early in the 4th quarter put the Vikings in too big of a hole to get out of. Mason Crosby was 5-5 on field goals including a 52-yarder.
