Carol R. Manthey, 94, St. Cloud

January 5, 1922 - February 16, 2016

Funeral services will be at 11:30AM on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Carol R. Manthey, 94, of St. Cloud who passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Country Manor in Sartell. Rev. Darin Seaman will officiate and burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Carol was born on January 5, 1922 in Webster, South Dakota to Asa and Vera (Beck) Rhodes. She married Thomas H. Manthey on December 31, 1941 in Spring Lake Park, Michigan. The couple moved to the St. Cloud area in 1967; in which time Carol began working as the Office Manager for the March of Dimes. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in St. Cloud and serving on various church committees. Carol enjoyed decorating her home; she always wanted her family and guests to feel comfortable and welcome. She also loved the companionship of her dogs and cats over the years. Carol will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Patricia Manthey of La Crosse, WI; daughter-in-law, Bette Manthey of Apple Valley; grandchildren, Jason Manthey, Elizabeth Skewgar, Timothy Manthey, Heather Manthey; great grandchildren, Addie Manthey, Henry Manthey, Kashala Manthey, Soren Skewgar; niece, Valerie Howard; nephews, Scott Benson, and Jeff Benson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas H.; son, Thomas R.; and sister, Marlys Adams.

Memorials are preferred to the March of Dimes or First Presbyterian Church in St. Cloud.
