Carol Jean Johnson, 78, Zimmerman

September 9, 1938 - July 15, 2017

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church in Becker for Carol Jean Johnson, age 78, of Zimmerman who died Saturday at the Elim Home in Princeton. Rev. Julie AK Anderson will officiate and burial will be in the Becker Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Becker and one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the church in Becker.

Carol was born September 9, 1938 in Minneapolis to Lloyd and Bernice (Doberstein) Markley. She married Gerald Johnson on March 15, 1958. Carol was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing, playing cards and visiting with family and friends. She was a very friendly, outgoing individual with a great sense of humor! Carol made life interesting and was so very proud of her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Kimberly & Clinton Peterson of Big Lake, Cheryl & Harvey Schwarzkopf of Clear Lake, Carlene & Kenneth Stenberg of Monticello, Gerald “Gary” of Sauk Centre, Michael Johnson & Carmen Adams of Burnsville, Daniel of Foley, Candace & William Sherk of Milaca, Kari Johnson of Sauk Centre; sister, Avon Miller of Chanhassen; 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Gerald in 2013.
