Book-Em’s Bar Closing on Saturday

ST. CLOUD - Book-Em's Bar in downtown St. Cloud is closing it's doors.

Owner Dan Wedin says this is the last weekend they'll be open, and they'll close for good on Saturday night.

Wedin says he's sold the building, and the new owners plan to renovate it and open as a completely new bar and restaurant.  He says he didn't have the bar on the market, the new owners approached him and gave him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Wedin has owned Book-Em's for 20 years.  They've been in their current location since March of 1999.  The original Book-Ems Bar was destroyed in the downtown explosion in 1998.
