Body Recovered in Bemidji Unidentified

BEMIDJI (AP) - The Ramsey County medical examiner will identify the body recovered from a Beltrami County lake and determine a cause of death.

The only active missing person case in Beltrami County is Matt Pulis, who disappeared last October. Police declined to say whether the body could be Pulis.

With the snow melted and lakes free of ice, Bemidji police enlisted the help of a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter Thursday in the search for Pulis. That's when the body was discovered in Lake Irving.

Pulis' family met with law enforcement officers later Thursday.
