FOLEY -- One person is dead and two others are seriously injured after a crash east of Gilman Monday. The Benton County Sheriff's Office says it happened on County Road 6 at about 5:20 p.m.

A car driven by 17-year-old Tessa Fussy of Oak Park was stopped as she waited to turn left into a driveway. 35-year-old Brandon Bellamy of Blaine rear-ended Fussy's car and continued into oncoming traffic where his car struck another car head-on.

Bellamy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the third car, 52-year-old Joan Novak of Foley and her 11-year-old passenger were transported to St. Cloud Hospital with serious injuries.

Fussy was treated at the scene and released.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
