WASHINGTON D.C. -- Gas prices are the highest they've been in two years and a Congresswoman from Minnesota says the Obama administration is partly to blame.

Michele Bachmann says President Obama's energy secretary has said Americans need to be paying as much as Europe does for gas in order to prompt alternative fuel research and development.

But, Bachmann says it shouldn't come at the expense of Americans who are struggling to pay their bills.  She says she supports alternative energy fuels, but we need to get gas prices in check in hte meantime.

Oil was trading at more than $103 a barrel last week.
