Arnold “Arnie” E. Johnson, 98, Sauk Rapids

Funeral Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Chapel, Sauk Rapids for Arnold “Arnie” E. Johnson, 98 of Sauk Rapids who died on Monday at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids. Pastor Duane Semmler will officiate and burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sauk Rapids. Friends and relatives may call after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Good Shepherd Chapel in Sauk Rapids. Arrangements by Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Arnie was born March 25, 1917 in Bertha to Edward J. and Sophie M. (Crider) Johnson. He married LauVa Flom on September 10, 1940 at Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Staples. Arnie farmed for over 75 years until retiring. He was a Boy Scout Leader in Kimball for many years. Arnie had a love of horses, enjoyed playing bingo and spending time gardening.

Arnie is survived by his children, Sharon (Herb) Wolfgram of St. Cloud and Chuck (Gina) Johnson of Grandy; brother, Bruce (Bonnie) C. Johnson of Caldwell, ID; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and special nephew, John Hokanson of Roseburg, OR.

He is preceded in death by his wife, LauVa (October 9, 2002); son, Tom; infant sister, Vivian Johnson; infant brother, LaVern Johnson; brother, Wesley Johnson; sisters, Betty Hokanson and LouVera Eberhardt and great-grandson, Joshua.
