Annual “Living In Avon Hills” Conference Brings in World Renown Nature Photographer

Beat the winter blues and look toward spring with a unique event at the Arboretum at St. John’s University this weekend.

The 2011 “Living in Avon Hills” Conference includes a talk by world-renown photographer and Minnesota native Jim Brandenburg.

There will also be an awards presentation honoring residents whose actions demonstrate a commitment to preserving the  environment in Avon Hills community, followed by over 40 presentations on topics including gardening, natural history, wildlife and alternative energy.

The conference begins at 9:00 a.m. and is $30 for adults and $10 for kids. Space is limited to 350. For tickets, contact the Arboretum at 363-3163.
