Allen Dunn, 90, St. Cloud, Minnesota

June 27, 1924 - October 2, 2014

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Allen Dunn, age 90, of St. Cloud who passed away at the VA Medical Center on Thursday. Rev. LeRoy Scheierl will officiate and burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Allen was born on June 27, 1924 in Champagne, IL. He was a 22 year Army Veteran who fought in both WWII and Korea. He married Hedwig “Hedy” Bayer on April 16, 1952 in Bamberg, Germany. Allen worked for National Bushing in St. Cloud as an accountant until his retirement. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud and has been a lifetime member of the VFW Post # 428. Allen enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Allen is survived by his wife of 62 years, Hedy; children, Linda (Keith) Fischer, Rosemary Lolmaugh; two grandchildren, Emily, Sofia; brother, Andrew. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John, Teddy and sister, Jenny Orozco.
