Alcohol Involved In Crash That Killed 4

MONTGOMERY (AP) – The Minnesota State Patrol says alcohol was a factor in a crash that killed four people in Le Sueur County last month.

The patrol says both drivers killed in the crash had been drinking before they collided near Montgomery Sept. 27.

Investigators say the driver of the SUV that crossed the center line, 51-year-old Condon Hulgan, had a blood alcohol content of .214, more than twice the legal limit to operate a vehicle. The crash killed Hulgan and his 11-year-old stepdaughter.

The driver of the other vehicle, 22-year-old Jeffery Miller, had a blood alcohol content of .032, below the legal limit of .08. Miller and a passenger in his Mercedes were killed. Miller’s brother, Mark, was injured in the crash, but survived.
