The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Adeline E. Hartung, age 85 of Opole, will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, July 6 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Opole. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Adeline died peacefully at her home with her family at her side on Thursday, June 30. There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 PM Tuesday and again after 9:30 AM Wednesday at the church in Opole. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish prayers will be at 4:00 PM Tuesday at the church. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Christian Mothers will pray the rosary at 10:00 AM Wednesday at the church, prior to the funeral service. Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin Funeral Homes.

Adeline was born July 23, 1930 in St. Joseph to George and Christine (Reischl) Court. She married Edwin Hartung on April 15, 1950 in St. Joseph. The couple farmed near Opole. Adeline was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Christian Mothers.

Adeline is survived by her husband, Edwin, Opole; her children, Elaine (Marvin) Kremers, Avon; Jeanette (David Hoppert), Avon; Carole (Victor) Michalek, St. Stephen; David (Linda) Hartung, Opole; Jerome Hartung, Freeport; Sharon (Arthur) Salzer, Freeport; Dennis (Ann) Hartung, Avon; Robert (Judy) Hartung, Freeport; Barbara (Rodney) Kaeter, Rice; Michael (Nancy) Hartung, Opole; 40 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” (Ralph) Eiynck, St. Joseph; Arlene (Michael) Gill, St. Joseph; Katherine Worm, Richmond; Francis (Marilyn) Court, St. Joseph; Michael (Mary) Court, Avon, and Arnold Court, St. Joseph.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandchildren, Rebecca Kremers and Jason Hartung. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Irene Maruska, Laverne Schmitt, Lorraine Janssen, Rose Ann Stockinger and her brother, Leonard Court.

The family would like to thank the CentraCare Dialysis Center and the St. Cloud Hospital Hospice.
