Absentee Voting Available for Special Election
ST. CLOUD – A special election is being held in House District 14A on Tuesday, February 12th.
Republican Tama Theis, Democrat Joanne Dorsher and Independence Party candidate Todd McKee will vie for the seat formerly held by Steve Gottwalt.
If you’re not able to vote on that day, absentee voting is available. You can cast your ballot in person at the Stearns County Auditor-Treasurer’s office, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office will also be open for absentee voting on Saturday, February 9th.
Part of St. Cloud, Waite Park, St. Augusta, and St. Joseph Township is included in House District 14A.

St Cloud City Ward 1, Precinct 7

Absentee balloting may also be done via mail. You can obtain an absentee ballot application online at www.co.stearns.mn.us, or contact the Auditor-Treasurer’s office and an application will be mailed or faxed to you. You can return your absentee ballot application by mail to the Auditor-Treasurer’s office at the above address, or fax it to 320-656-3916.
In order to vote by absentee ballot, you MUST fulfill one of the following reasons for needing an absentee ballot:
1) Absence from precinct on election-day
2) Illness or disability
3) Religious discipline or observance of religious holiday
4) Service as an election judge in another precinct
5) Eligible emergency declared by the governor or quarantine declared by federal or state government
