Christopher “Chris” J. Clavin, St. Cloud, 45

A gathering of family and friends will be from 3:00 – 8:00PM Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud for Christopher “Chris” J. Clavin who died July 1st from injuries sustained on the job. A time of sharing will take place at 5:00PM and the gathering will continue after 8:00PM at Chris and Katie’s home in St. Cloud.

Christopher was born on November 10th, 1968 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Terry and Shirley (Epema) Clavin. Chris has been a resident of the St. Cloud area for 20 years. He married the love of his life, Katie Hallahan, on May 28, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Chris was currently working as a Heavy Duty Tow Truck Driver for Collins Brothers Towing for the past year. He had a great work ethic and found value in other employees, always making them feel appreciated. He enjoyed racing, Vikings football, waterskiing, reading and the great outdoors. Chris was a professional jokester and had an obsession with collecting hats. Most importantly he knew how to love unconditionally and was always there to lend a helping hand. He will be dearly missed.

Chris is survived by his loving wife Katie of St. Cloud; stepson, Rayne Peacock of Sauk Rapids; mother, Shirley (Joseph) Rakaskas of Wichita, KS; father, Terry of St. Cloud; brothers, TJ (Theresa) of Barrett, MN, Patrick (Anna) of St. Cloud; step-sister, Andrea Nellis of St. Cloud; nephews, Austin, Parker, Oliver, Ted, Damien; nieces, Autumn, Caleigh; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by many loved ones.
