MNsure Won’t Be Ready To Go Tuesday Morning
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The chief of Minnesota's health insurance exchange says consumers won't be able to use the new online marketplace as planned Tuesday morning and will have to wait until sometime in the afternoon.
April Todd-Malmlov says MNsure officials want to make sure the system connects properly with federal computer systems and that the connections are secure before it goes live for consumers.
Todd-Malmlov went over glitches in MNsure's rollout during a conference call with reporters late Monday afternoon. She says a list of approved assisters and brokers who can help people sign up won't be posted until Wednesday. And she says American Indians, who qualify for special benefits under the Affordable Care Act, should wait a week before signing up because that part of the system isn't working properly yet.
