2 Suspects At Large In Nicollet County Baseball Bat Beatings

ST. PETER (AP) - Authorities have one person in custody and are looking for two accomplices in a baseball bat beating in Nicollet County that left two men hospitalized, including one in critical condition.

Sheriff's officials say a newspaper delivery person found the two victims severely beaten near the Buessman Bridge not far from New Ulm on Sunday morning. Thirty-three-year-old Jeremy Anderson, of New Ulm, was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he's in critical condition.

Authorities say 31-year-old Jason Bejarano is hospitalized locally. The beatings may have resulted from a fight at a bar in New Ulm.
