2 People Killed In Head-On Collision Near Monticello

MONTICELLO - Two people have been killed in a head-on collision in Wright County.

The Sheriff's Office says the incident happened at about 5:15 p.m. yesterday (Sunday) on County Road 39 Northeast in Monticello Township.

A pickup pulling a horse trailer crashed into a car on a curve.

Thirty-seven-year-old Christopher Hazel of Annandale and his passenger 65-year-old Donna Swenson of Annandale were both killed.

The driver of the pickup, 48-year-old Andra Olson of Monticello, was extricated from her vehicle and taken to North Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
