2 Motorcycle Drivers Hurt In Crash in Todd County

EAGLE BEND - Two motorcyclists were hurt in a crash yesterday (Friday) afternoon. The Minnesota State Patrol says 56-year-old Steven Gustason of Brainerd and 55-year-old Douglas Oehrlein of Fort Ripley were both riding their Harley Davidsons southbound on Highway 71, just south of Eagle Bend.

Gustason braked for a turning vehicle in front of them. Oehrlein also braked but lost control and hit the other motorcycle.

Both men were taken to the Staples Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

It happened at about 1:00 p.m. yesterday.
