UPDATE: Off-Duty Police Officer Among 2 Slain In St. Michael Home

ST. MICHAEL - Officials are looking for answers after finding 49-year-old Elk River Police Officer Todd Besser and his 27-year-old son Blake shot dead in a St. Michael home Saturday night.

Elk River Police Chief Ron Nierenhausen says Todd Besser was a 16-year veteran of the force and a 12-year Air Force veteran.

The Wright County Sheriff's Office says Todd Besser's other son, 21-year-old Christopher, called them from a gas station to turn himself in and was taken into custody without incident.

Officials say it appears to be a domestic situation and no other suspects are being sought.
