St. Cloud Council To Hold Public Hearing on Clearwater Road Improvements

ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud City Council is considering making improvements to Clearwater Road, near Interstate 94.

The council will hold a public hearing tonight (Monday) for a planned realignment of Clearwater Road and Heatherwood Road at a cost of over $3.1 million.  The city would assess about $1.9 million, with the city paying for the remaining $1.2 million.

Plans include putting in a curb and gutter, sewer system and water main, and storm drain.

The realignment of Clearwater road was first proposed in 2005, but was delayed due to the uncertain status of private developments in that area.  With renewed interest  in property development in that area, developers are once again asking for the improvements.
