15-Year-Old Arrested For Alleged Burglary Near Campus
ST. CLOUD -- Police have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in a burglary near the St. Cloud State campus earlier this week.
The St. Cloud Police Department says the incident happened shortly after 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday in the 500 block of 7th Avenue South. Reports say a 23-year-old man saw an unknown suspect leave his house with a long board and keys which he used to try to get into a vehicle outside.
Shortly after the complaint, police stopped a 15-year-old suspect who matched the victim's description and had a long board and keys his possession. Police say the suspect also was carrying a folding knife and knuckle guards similar to brass knuckles.
The 15-year-old is from St. Cloud and was taken to Stearns County Jail to be placed in juvenile detention on charges of 1st degree burglary, tampering with a motor vehicle, and possession of a dangerous weapon.
