ST. PAUL - A special court panel's new maps of Minnesota congressional districts would throw incumbent Reps. Michele Bachmann and Betty McCollum into the same district.

Bachmann, a Republican, currently represents the 6th District, while the Democrat McCollum is in the 4th. The redrawn maps put both in the 4th District.

However, Bachmann says she'll seek old 6th District seat despite redistricting shuffle.  WJON Political Correspondent has more on this story.

The new map keeps the eastern half of Stearns county, as well as all of Benton, Sherburne and Wright counties in the 6th District.

The redistricting is done every 10 years to reflect population shifts.

Below is a look at the new district lines for State House and Senate seats.  State Representative Steve Gottwalt says you'll notice some of the numbers for the districts have changed, but the boundaries for the most part are the same.
