UPDATE: Blown Bike Tire Cause of Lockdown of Law Enforcement Center
ST. CLOUD - We now know what the loud noise was that caused the Law Enforcement Center in downtown St. Cloud to go into a lockdown on Saturday. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says the "gunshot" noise was most likely a blown bicycle tire.
The tire blew with enough force to bend the tire rim slightly. The bike belongs to a part time employee. It was parked inside a hallway at the LEC.
The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened just after 4:30 p.m. The LEC was placed back on normal status shortly before 6:00 P.M.
