Two Vehicle Crash On Highway 15 Due To Icy Roads

St. Cloud Fire and Police Departments along with the Minnesota State Patrol and  Gold Cross responded to a two vehicle accident yesterday just before noon in the 1200 block of Highway 15.

Officers learned that the driver of one of the vehicles driven by 31-year-old Genevive Migala, of Sauk Rapids, lost control of her vehicle due to icy roadways while traveling northbound on Highway 15. Migala struck the guardrail to the Sauk River and ultimately coming to a rest in the median of Highway 15.

30-Year-old Carissa Daiker of Sartell was driving behind Migala and also lost control of her vehicle striking both the guardrail and Migala's vehicle. A 2-year-old from Sartell was take to the St. Cloud Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The St. Cloud Police Department would like to remind the public to use caution when road conditions are icy.
