Police Warn of Sweepstakes Scam

ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud Police are alerting you to a scam that is circulating through the mail.

A resident received a letter from a fraudulent sweepstakes indicating she had won $2.1-million. The letter went on to state she needed to pay a processing fee of $34.99 prior to receiving the winnings.

The letter had no business listed to it, no customer service phone number and a P.O. Box address from a different state.

Police say if you receive such a letter, destroy its and DO NOT respond.
