WAITE PARK -- Arts and craft enthusiasts have a new place they can explore.

Hobby Lobby officially opened their doors today (Friday). Store Manager Ryan De Vos says the company has waited a long time to be in Waite Park.

"Waite Park has been on Hobby Lobby's radar for quite awhile. They finally found the right opportunity, location and we think it's going to make a great addition to the area," says De Vos.

The 45,000 square-foot store offers anything from floral, needle art, fabric, home decor and custom framing.

"People don't realize how big it is, when they walk in and see how extensive the selection is. The front end doesn't really do it justice, but there is plenty to see and always something new," says De Vos.

The store will create 45 new jobs once settled. De Vos says he thinks the store will be a great addition to the city and can't wait to help you with all your crafting needs.

"Seeing the amazement in our customers eyes, helping them find what their looking for. We'll get them off to a good start," says De Vos.

Hobby Lobby will be open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. An official grand opening and ribbon cutting is scheduled for Monday at 9:00 a.m.

The store is located at 375 2nd Street South in Waite Park. This will be the 10th Hobby Lobby location in Minnesota.
