ST. CLOUD -  St. Cloud State University's American Indian Center hosted its 24th Annual Spring Pow Wow on Saturday.

The event is a celebration of American Indian Culture through art, dancing and traditional food.

Everyone native and non-native were invited to dance and participate in honoring all the veterans. People of all races went to the gym floor and joined in the honoring of our veterans.

Ed Beargrease is a member of the Fond Du Lac Honor Guard. Beargrease says they are proud that the Pow Wow is taking the time to recognize them.

"This is the first Pow Wow of the year and we really like to make it to as many Pow Wows as possible. They invited us to this because we are Veterans and we are proud of that and they also give us high praise."

The AIC has invited the Fond Du Lac Honor Guard for the last 12 years to help them appropriately honor all veterans.

The Pow Wow is open to everyone and free to attend.  Grand Entries were at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in Halenbeck Hall at St. Cloud State University.
