NWS – 90 mph Winds In Sauk Centre On Sunday

Wind speeds may have reached 90 miles an hour as a powerful storm swept through Sauk Centre on Sunday night. The National Weather Service says the power went out at the airport just before an official wind speed could be clocked.

Xcel Energy spokeswoman Mary Sandok says they have over 12,000 customers without power stretching from the St. Cloud area down through southwest Minnesota. And East Central Energy has nearly 9,000 customers without power.
