Minnesota scored the first touchdown of the game but trailed 14-7 at halftime. Philip Nelson was 13-29 passing for 142 yards and 1 touchdown with no interceptions and 37 yards rushing. Donnell Kirkwood led the Gophers rushing for 58 yards on 16 carries.

Michigan upset North Dakota 2-0 in the nightcap and Michigan goes for their 10th national championship Saturday night against MN-Duluth at 7pm.
