ST. PAUL (AP) - Sun Country Airlines has been sold to the owners of Cambria, the Le Sueur-based maker of quartz countertops Sun County was sold Wednesday to a private company owned by the Davis family of St. Peter, owners of Cambria Holdings LLC.

The sale price was not disclosed.

The Davis family bought Mendota Heights-based Sun Country after lengthy negotiations and an auction in U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

Sun Country was once owned by Wayzata businessman Tom Petters.

Sun Country filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2008 just days after Petters was charged in a $3.7 billion Ponzi scheme he eventually was convicted of orchestrating. Sun Country emerged from Chapter 11 last February.

Sun Country has more than 800 employees. Its headquarters will remain in Mendota Heights.
