8,300 Turkeys Die in Meeker County Barn Fire

EDEN VALLEY -- Fire crews were called to a large barn fire in Meeker County Tuesday afternoon.

The incident happened at about noon in the 61,000 block of 363rd Street in Manannah Township, south of Eden Valley.

Sheriff Brian Cruze says it's believed a propane heater in the barn caused the blaze.

No one was hurt however the barn, a tractor and 8,300 turkeys were lost in the fire.

Total damages are still unknown.
