St. Cloud State Hires Weems as A.D.

St. Cloud State has announced the hiring of Heather Weems as their new Athletic Director today at a press conference at their Welcome Center. The 37-year old Weems has been Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Women's Administrator at Drake University since 2009 after being Associate Athletics Director at Denver University from 2002-2009.

SCSU Hires Gasparini As Special Advisor

St. Cloud State announced the hiring of John "Gino" Gasparini as special advisor to the President for Athletics starting March 1. Gasparini spent time at the University of North Dakota and led the United States Hockey League. He will focus on Division I programs, the expansion of the National Hockey Center and the vision for the future of Husky Athletics.

SCSU Men's Hockey Gets A Tie At #3 UMD

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team earned a 3-3 overtime tie at 3rd ranked Minnesota-Duluth Saturday night. SCSU takes 3 of a possible 4 points on the weekend series after beating UMD 8-2 Friday night. SCSU scored 2 first period goals and took a 3-0 lead in the 2nd period before the Bulldogs came back.
