Rocori Names Guetter Boys Basketball Coach

Rocori has named longtime assistant coach Nate Guetter as their new head boys basketball head coach replacing legendary head coach Bob Brink. Brink was the head coach at Rocori for the past 43 years. Guetter has been an assistant coach under Brink for the past 12 seasons.

Washburn Sneaks By Rocori In State Quarterfinals

Top-seeded Minneapolis Washburn came from down 6 in the 2nd half to beat Rocori 52-49 in the Class 3A state tournament quarterfinals at Williams Arena Wednesday morning. Rocori and Washburn were tied at 24 at halftime and Rocori led for much of the 2nd half. Mac Mueller led Rocori with 18 points and Sam Moriarty added 12 points for the Spartans.

Rocori Basketball In State Tournament Today

The Rocori boys basketball team plays top seeded Minneapolis Washburn in the Class 3A state tournament quarterfinals at Williams Arena today at 10am, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 9:50. Ty James and Chris Chapman call the play-by-play. Rocori is 18-11 while Washburn is 27-2. The Spartans are big underdogs today but head coach Bob Brink says "We have a 50/50 chance of winning".

Rocori Basketball In Section Final Tonight

The Rocori boys basketball team plays tonight against Delano in the section 53A finals at St. Cloud State's Halenbeck Hall. The Spartans are 17-11 and seeded first in the section. Delano is 22-6 and seeded 2nd in the section. Tip-off at 7pm tonight, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan with Ty James and Chris Chapman at 6:50.

Boys Basketball Results; Brink Coaches Final Regular Seaon game Tonight

Tonight is also the final regular season game on the bench as a head coach for Bob Brink. Brink has been the head coach at Rocori for the past 42 years and has coached for the last 51 years. The 74-year old has amassed 936 wins, which is 2nd all-time behind Bob McDonald at Chisholm. Brink is has sent Rocori to 12 state tournaments including a 26-0 season in 1988 when Rocori won the Class AA state title.
