UNDATED - The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for much of our listening area from Noon until 10:00 p.m. on Thursday.

A low pressure system rotating through the region today will produce precipitation starting out as rain but gradually changing over to snow this afternoon.

Highest snow amounts will be found mainly from Willmar through St. Cloud to Hinckley where around 4 inches can be expected, dropping to near an inch around the Twin Cities and Eau Claire, which will see more of a rain/snow mix before all snow this evening.

The precipitation will end by around midnight.

High pressure arrives Friday and lasts through Sunday, resulting in a very noticeable warming trend with temperatures reaching near normal levels by Sunday.
