LUXEMBURG TOWNSHIP -- A downed power line south of Cold Spring sparked a grass fire this (Thursday) afternoon.

As many as four fire departments responded to the scene along Stearns County Road 2 and County Road 21 about three miles south of Cold Spring in Luxemburg Township.

The fire broke out just before 2:00 p.m.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says five acres burned before crews from the Cold Spring and Rockville Fire Departments put out the fire. Sheriff's officials say high winds blew the power line down.

Central Minnesota was under a wind advisory with wind gusts as high as 40 miles per hour at times when the fire broke out.
