Wild State Cider out of Duluth is recalling one of its THC-infused beverages "out of an abundance of caution."

The beverage being recalled is "Birdie Honeyberry Lemonade" -- a THC-infused product.

Why Wild State Cider is Issuing the Recall

The company says that the product was "insufficiently pasteurized, due to the presence of fresh fruit." Fermentation could happen in warm cans, and that's bad.

Wild State Cider says that there are no safety concerns for anyone who's already pounded a few down. Customers who've purchased Wild State Cider's Birdie brand  Honeyberry Lemonade are advised to place cans in a box or plastic bag before disposing. Customers will be provided refunds or replacements. The official statement from Wild State Cider can be found here.

Those apples will be combined and pressed into the 2024 Duluth's People's Cider. The last day to drop off your apples is Friday, October 4th. All varieties of apples are accepted! If you bring in apples you'll get yourself a crowler of the finished cider, too!
