The Minnesota Wild beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-1 Thursday night at Xcel Energy Center. In a rare feat the Wild outshot their opponent 33-21 in the game.

Jason Pominville scored his team-high 19th goal halfway through the first period for a 1-0 Wild lead after one.

After Jordan Eberle tied the game at one at 2:36 of the second period for Edmonton, Nate Prosser and Justin Fontaine scored for Minnesota to give the Wild a 3-1 lead after two periods.

Jason Zucker scored just eight seconds into the third period to cap the scoring and give the Wild a 4-1 win.

The Wild remain in eighth place in the Western Conference and are now tied with Vancouver (7th place) with 57 points.

Minnesota hosts Dallas on Saturday to cap a three game home stand.
