Water Challenge: St. Cloud Water Vs. Bottled Water [VIDEO]

St. Cloud -- St. Cloud was recently the runner-up to Duluth for best tasting water in the state in the 2013 "Best in Glass" contest.

The competition was held during the Minnesota American Water Works Association's annual conference in Duluth.

Meanwhile, Michelle Obama is also pushing Americans to drink more water. She is supporting a new water campaign with the Partnership for a Healthier America.

We decided to run our own WJON experiment to see if our staff had a water preference. We put our own tap water up against both name brand and store brand bottled water.

We sampled 15 people, and found nine people preferred the name brand water. Six people chose the the store brand water. The tap water was the least appealing.

We asked St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis to sample the three waters. His choice--St. Cloud tap water.

Cup "A" had the name brand water, Cup "B" was the St.Cloud city water, and Cup "C" was the generic store brand water.
