The Vikings were defeated 20-16 by the Buffalo Bills Friday night in Buffalo. Minnesota's first team offense managed just three points.

Christian Ponder was underwhelming for Minnesota, going 5/12 with just 53 yards passing and a 55.2 quarterback rating. Backup QB Matt Cassel failed to follow up his 212 yard performance in game one, throwing for just 29 yards on 4/8 passing.

Kyle Rudolph led all Vikings receivers with three catches for 39 yards, but also had one drop on a key third down play. Jerious Wright had two catches for 16 yards but left the game with a concussion.

The Vikings will take on the 49ers next weekend in their third of four preseason games.
