Todd County Deputies Investigate Alleged Faud

TODD COUNTY -- The Todd County Sheriff's Office is investigating an alleged fraud  complaint that happened Wednesday morning.

Deputies say a Clarissa resident got a call from a company called, "YHG" that wanted to verify the victim's checking account information for a third party.

The Star Bank in Eagle Bend received a fake check a few days later which had the victim's name and bank account information.

The check also indicated that a signature wasn't needed. The Star Bank denied authorization of the fake check.

The fraud is being investigated.
