The housing boom of the early 2000's abruptly slowed down after major mortgage companies went bust in the fall of 2007. Many builders stopped new home construction as the market began to see home values recede.

But lately, Curt Weiers from United Country Real Estate in Annandale says, new home construction has seen a marked increase, and even better, the demand for it is climbing. Earlier today (June 18) on The Pete & Doug Show, Curt and his associate Jeff talked to us about why that market is beginning to strengthen.
