NOAA's Climate Prediction Center has released it's Winter Weather Outlook. They say a La Nina could potentially emerge for the second year in a row, with a 55 to 65 percent chance of it developing before winter sets in.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is advising no unnecessary travel Tuesday, due to blowing snow and icy roads.

Winter is taking one last shot at Minnesota as the calendar turns to spring.

The severe winter weather out east has created an urgent need for blood and platelet donations nationally. Since January 1st more than 300 blood drives across 20 states have resulted in more than 9,500 donations uncollected.

Forecasters say Twin Cities metro residents could be shoveling or blowing 5 to 9 inches of snow or more by Tuesday.
