A central Minnesota business has awarded funding to 62 area organizations and non-profits.

This year, a check for almost $6,000 was presented to the INDY Foundation, a local organization that helps people battling cancer throughout central Minnesota.

Stearns Electric's Operation Round-Up program has written out over $2.5 million in checks to local non-profits. The company says since the program was started in 1993 they've donated $2.55 million to nearly 4,900 organizations.

Two Stearns Electric employees are going on an over thousand mile electric road trip, and they'll be documenting their travels the whole way.

A central Minnesota electric company is lending a helping hand to Florida after the state was hit by Hurricane Irma.

Stearns Electric Association has named Patrick Bleth as their next CEO. Bleth holds a bachelor's in industrial technology and manufacturing management from Bemidji State University and was selected for the position after a national search. He will take over on July 1st.

A local electric company is now providing their customers with renewable energy as part of their community solar project. Stearns Electric has built 50, 410 watt solar panels that will produce a total of 20.5 Kilowatts of renewable energy for their members to buy.
