After 26 years in public service, Tim O'Driscoll is stepping away from the State Legislature — and he's got a lot to look back on before he walks out the door in January.

State Representative Tim O'Driscoll from Sartell joined me on WJON today. We talked about the upcoming legislative session which begins on Tuesday. Tim discussed bonding plans he will be looking for as part the state's bonding proposal, and budget concerns. He also weighed in on the top Governor candidates.

A former St. Cloud state lawmaker, Stearns County Commissioner and parks advocate has died. Larry Haws died Tuesday afternoon at the age of 72.

Monday will be a big day at the State Capitol. The latest budget forecast will be released. The last budget forecast released in November projected a $6.2 billion deficit in the next two-year budget cycle, which starts on July 1st. However, that same forecast had our current budget running at a surplus.
