After a difficult year, Waite Park officials are planning to set the stage this year. That's the message given during Wednesday's State of the City address.
The 9th Annual Waite Park State of the City Address was held today (Wednesday) at the Waite Park American Legion. Mayor Rick Miller says with the city's recent growth the last several years, establishing an identity is an important step in 2016.
The city of Waite Park is expecting to lose an additional $237,000 in Local Government Aid in 2011. That's on top of the nearly $633,000 that has already been cut. In his State of the City Address this morning, Miller says budgeting will be difficult with lower revenues and increased demand for services.
