Two large snow events in December, one in January, this week's snow event and a few smaller ones scattered throughout the winter have consequences for the St. Cloud Public Works department budget. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis and St. Cloud Public Services Director Tracy Hodel joined me on WJON.
After another mild mid-January day, big changes are on the way. Temperatures are beginning to plummet this afternoon and will continue to drop through the night.
Wind and rain engulfed much of Central Minnesota in the afternoon and evening Wednesday. The National Weather is reporting 4-tenth of an inch of rain at the St. Cloud airport for the day.
Our long hot and dry stretch of summer across the area will finally wane, but not before severe storms are possible across Central Minnesota tomorrow night.
