St. Cloud School District 742 is offering a 2nd summer school session due to increased demand. The 2nd session will begin after the 4th of July holiday weekend next week. The first summer session ends this week. St. Cloud School District 742 Assistant Superintendent Laurie Putnam joined me on WJON today.

St. Cloud School Superintendent Willie Jett joined me on WJON this week. He says their goal is to return all students to in-person learning as soon as it is safe and best for both students and staff. He says the school district is planning to get Elementary age students back to some in-person learning in January with secondary students returning to in-person in February.

He says Kindergarten-5th grade students are back at distance learning starting today and will continue with that model through January 4.

St. Cloud School District 742 made the move from hybrid learning for 6th-12th grade students to distance learning last week. St. Cloud School Board Chairman Jeff Pollries joined me on WJON Today. He says they learned quite a bit from last spring's distance learning that is making this fall's distance learning more effective for students, teachers and staff.

St. Cloud School Superintendent Willie Jett was my guest on WJON today. He says they are adjusting daily to concerns over Covid-19. He says teachers, staff and students have gone above and beyond to make the learning experience for students the best it can be concerning the challenges.

St. Cloud School Superintendent Willie Jett plans to propose a plan to the District 742 school board Wednesday night at the School Board Meeting. Jett appeared on WJON with me today. He indicated that the Governor's plan would allow for K-5th grade students to return to in-person learning full time while 6th-12th grade students will return to hybrid learning this fall.

Both Sauk Rapids-Rice and the St. Cloud Area School District are sending students to the state spelling bee in two weeks.
