A St. Cloud advertising business is planning to close. St. Cloud Downtown Council President Pegg A.K. Gustafson confirmed Monday Thelen Advertising is in the process of closing.
The St. Cloud Downtown Council is working with local young professionals to keep downtown a fun, edgy and innovative place to be. Pegg Gustafson is the President of the Council, she says there are over 620 businesses and 10,000 employees in downtown St. Cloud.
Several new businesses have opened in downtown St. Cloud in the first half of the year. St. Cloud Downtown Council President Pegg Gustafson says they've added 10 new members so far this year, including: Konrad's, Quarks American Bento, Heavenly Treats, and the Rusty Pick.
Business owners in downtown St. Cloud can apply for a grant to improve accessibility in their building. The St. Cloud Downtown Council is accepting applications for the Downtown Accessibility Improvement Program through August 15th.
The St. Cloud Downtown Council is partnering with security company. Arvig is offering free security assessments for all downtown businesses. Downtown Council spokeswoman Jill Pauly says there are some high tech security options available, for example video surveillance monitoring that you can watch from your phone.
