U.S. Attorney for Minnesota Andrew Luger says there isn't much concern about terror recruitment in Central Minnesota, compared to the Twin Cities. Luger says he's met with Somali leaders in St. Cloud and that they have been great to work with to prevent local terror recruitment.
Leaders from the St. Cloud Area School District and the local Somali community met on Wednesday to have an open conversation about recent cultural tensions in area schools. Superintendent Willie Jett and School Board Chair Dennis Whipple both met with the task force.
Members of Minnesota's Somali community are condemning the attack on a Kenya mall and are waiting anxiously to see if any Americans are linked to the violence.
