This ice skating loop in Maple Grove sounds like something that belongs at the top of a winter bucket list.

Skating rinks in the city of St. Cloud are now open for the winter season.

Today on WJON Jerry Carlson and I talked with Alyssa Hayes from Explore Minnesota. We discussed "Skate the Star", a skating rink at Mall of America. It's a 12,000 square foot skating rink. Other topics we hit on was exploring the slopes at numerous locations in Minnesota, snowmobile and cross country trails and ice fishing.

Prosecutors have charged a Minneapolis area skating coach with sexually abusing one of his students, who was 14 when the alleged abuse began.
